International Services

LED’s International Services division is responsible for facilitating the export of Louisiana goods and services.

The International Services division provides services to Louisiana and its companies by assisting businesses with all aspects of international trade, and supporting ports and airports in their efforts to increase the volume handled by their facilities.

The International Services division maintains an extensive network of contacts with other organizations (local, national and international) to accomplish these tasks. Examples of these networks include U.S. and foreign Chambers of Commerce, the U.S. Department of Commerce and its overseas offices, Foreign Consulates and Embassies, and World Trade Centers around the world.

To accomplish this mission, staff provides company counseling, sponsors targeted international trade shows, assists with logistics of exporting/importing and can provide information on financing for international transactions.

The International Services office plays a critical role in assisting companies from around the world in identifying strategic partners and or locations in Louisiana from which to operate. Our staff will assist in defining parameters, arranging site visits, identifying potential suppliers, assist with regulatory approval and provide guidance with other issues important to international investors.

LED maintains representation in Europe for trade promotion and business recruitment. See the Louisiana Global Alliance for more information.

LED’s staff is comprised of professionals with experience in various industries and markets around the world. We will be glad to assemble a team to meet your needs.
